MetaGeek implemented a great new feature to Chanalyzer 3.1, and it continues to improve with our growing collection of device signatures that we, or our faithful Wi-Spy Community have collected and shared with us.

Every wireless device makes a unique signature. The RF activity  based on the average of amplitude and frequency results in a "signature."  Basically the topographic view will show how often specific frequencies are populated.  This will help you determine what kind of interference is out there, whether it be a microwave or a cordless phone.  There are many more device signatures for you to explore with your Wi-Spy 2.4x. We have prepared sample recordings for your review, simply download and run in Chanalyzer 3.1.
