Channel Picker
MetaGeek's Channel Picker
Channel Picker is a simplified application for installers. Data is collected from a Wi-Spy, then the software determines the best Wi-Fi and/or Zigbee channel to use for the new network. A 5-star scale is used to rate the best channel, providing the user with a basic idea of how well the network is likely to work.
Recommended Use:
- Press "Start" to begin scan.
- Walk around the area where the equipment will be installed.
- Turn on any possible interferers. (Microwaves, CordlessPhones, other Access Points etc)
- Press "Stop" after a few minutes.
- Channel Picker wilil give a 5 star rating for the best channel available.
